MXP Adventure aims to provide the best guided tours around Mongolia with its carefully planned travel itineraries. It is a young start-up yet it is dynamic and resourceful. Founded by two young men who come from very different cultural backgrounds, MXP adventure began its first operation in July 2004.

The founders, Muno and PJ, met coincidentally during an expedition organized by Raleigh International, a UK based charity, which took place in summer 1999. The three-month long expedition allowed their strong friendship and trust to be built and fostered. This friendship brought them further to co-organise another expedition, Xanadu 2000, which was funded by Imperial College of London a year after.

Xanadu 2000 took place in July 2000 where they rode horses for more than half a month in mid western and northern part of Mongolia in search of disrepair water pumps and wells that were built by the Soviet army before the collapse of the Soviet Union. The entire expedition lasted one and a half month, bringing them to five provinces in Mongolia. During the conduct of Xanadu 2000, the idea of bring tourism to Mongolia was first mooted. However, in the years after the expedition, both PJ and Muno were busy with their studies and career. It was only in early 2004 that the idea of operating a tourism office was revisited.

Their passion for traveling and their strong interests in meeting travelers alike have set them to start MXP Adventure. Leveraging on the extensive traveling experiences they have gained from the two expeditions, they have identified excellent spots around Mongolia that are less traveled by travelers.

The tour itineraries offer by MXP Adventure have gone through careful and detailed planning before the best travel programmes are presented to the customers. MXP Adventure takes customers feedback, complaints and constructive criticism seriously in upgrading and improving their tour programmes.

After receiving completed his primary and secondary education in the Mongolian government school, he switched to complete his high school education in a Turkish school. It was then that he was taught English and Turkish. He is now fluent in English and Turkish and some knowledge of Russian language.

In 1998, he took part in the Mongolia National Computing competition and came in third. He was then offered a scholarship to study software engineering and programming in National University of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Moving to Ulaanbaatar was a difficult adjustment for Muno as he began his stressful urban living in the absence of his parents. Nevertheless he still enjoys riding in the vastness of the Mongolian steppes and drinking horse milk under the great Mongolia blue skies

Muno

PJContrary to the environment Muno grew up in, PJ was born in Singapore and spent all his childhood and teenage years in an urban environment.

During his primary and secondary school days, PJ was just an average student with no excellent academic record to brag about. However, he excelled academically while reading his Mechanical Engineering diploma in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. He graduated with the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal for being the top graduate in Mathematics and Science from a polytechnic, as well as the Ngee Ann Kongsi Gold Medal for being the most outstanding graduate in the year 1995. These awards have opened opportunities for PJ to win an overseas scholarship to pursue his first degree in Mechanical Engineering in Imperial College of London.

He completed his Officer Cadet training as a Sword-of-Merit winner and continued to receive several awards for his outstanding military performance.
