Khövsgöl Lake is undoubtedly one of the most impressive sights in Central Asia. The hilly terrain overlooking the lake offers excellent hiking opportunities and stunning views. It is one of the deepest fresh water lakes in the world and can supply about 2% of the world population with fresh water. During the summer season, you can handpick wild strawberries and blueberries.

The twelve-day Khövsgöl Circuit allows you to embrace the natural beauty of Khövsgöl Lake firsthand.

Day 1 - Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia with airport transfer to hotel.  City sightseeing tour.

Day 2 – Kharkhorin
Embark on an overland journey to Kharkhorin – once the capital city that serve Chinggis Khan and his vast empire. Visit the magnificent Erdene Zuu monastery, the first centre of Lamaism in Mongolia, and enjoy the majestic architecture of ancient history.

Day 3 and 4 – Tserkiin Tsagaan Nuur
You will be greeted with spectacular sceneries and landscapes en route to Tserkiin Tsagaan Nuur from Kharkhorin. Sunsets over the lake are splendid!

Day 5 – Wilderness camping in Arkhangai aimag
A relatively long drive from Tserkiin Tsagaan Nuur to Moron in Northern Mongolia. The journey involves driving through lush pine forest with meandering rivers. Mesmerize in the stunning landscapes.

Day 6 and 7 – Khövsgöl Lake
Arrive in Khövsgöl Lake. Check into the ger camp resort that hugs closely to the shoreline of the lake. Free and easy by the lake where you can enjoy the superb sceneries at your own place.

The numerous mountains overlooking the Khövsgöl Lake are excellent for hiking in the summer season. You may have the chance to hand pick your own juicy wild strawberries and blueberries!

Day 8 – Bulgan
The return journey to Ulaanbaatar through the lush pine forest in Central Mongolia is never boring. The scenic views are enough to blow your mind away. Camp over in Bulgan.

Day 9 – Amarbayasagalant Khiid
Amarbayasagalant Khiid was originally built between 1727 and 1737 and dedicated to the great Mongolia Buddhist.  An architectural highlight in Mongolia, this monastery is considered one of the more important in Mongolia.

Day 10 and 11 – Terelj
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transit to Terelj. Terelj offers excellent hiking opportunities and horse riding through cooling alpine scenery. Swimming in icy river is definitely worth a try. Free and easy in Terelj

Day 12 – Ulaanbaatar
Last minute souvenir shopping in Ulaanbaatar, checking emails, doing laundry, dining in restaurants are some of the things you can engage before heading home. Free and easy in the capital city.
